Gay Marriage Amendment

George W is trying to do something never done before: Amend the constitution to LIMIT citizens' rights. This whole thing is ridiculous. Does it really affect anyone else if two gay people want to get married? The conservatives make it sound like once two gay people get married, the whole world will blow up because no marriage will have any significance anymore.

The research shows that a stable gay relationship is perfectly fine for a child. Additionally, I know the problems of "partners" not being able to participate in medical decision making for a person they have been with for decades.

The Republicans are just trying to use this issue to put a wedge in the country to divide us. Let's bind together and tell Congress we all stand for universal rights for all citizens. Please take action at Moveon.org's site:
